Download and Installation of the Wizard 2.0
Licenses for the Accessible Web Publishing Wizard for Microsoft Office can be purchased online at our Webstore or by Purchase Orders. If you have already purchased a Standard License or Enterprise License, the key will be e-mailed to after receipt of your payment. Follow the steps below to download and install the Wizard to your system.
- Check for .NET Framework 1.1 or 2.0 on your system
- Uninstall previous versions of the Wizard from your system
- Reboot your system
- Close all Microsoft Office applications then Download the Wizard
- Open the downloaded file to begin installation and Enter license key when prompted
.NET Framework
The Wizard requires that Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 or 2.0 be installed on your system. Checking for .NET installation in Windows XP:
- Go to the Start Menu
- Select "Control Panel"
- Select "Add/Remove Programs"
- .NET Framework 1.1, 2.0, or both should be listed
- If Microsoft .NET Framework is not listed, you need to install .NET. as part of an Microsoft Windows Update
Uninstalling Previous Versions
Prior to installing or upgrading to a new version of the Accessibility Wizard, remove all earlier versions of the software through the Add/Remove programs options. The Wizard is listed as OFFICE EXPORT WIZARD ADDIN in the add/remove programs list. After uninstalling an older version of the Wizard, be sure to reboot your computer.
If you have trouble with uninstalling, please contact our office at wizard@virtual508.com. Some older versions are not compatible with the new installation program. We have a script that can be emailed to you to resolve this issue.
Downloading the Wizard
Make sure all Microsoft Office applications are closed, then select this link to download current version: Version 2.4 This download will function as a demonstration version until you enter a software key. The demo version is fully functioning with the following limitations:
Powerpoint: Only converts first 5 slides - Word: Only converts first 1200 characters
- Excel: Only converts first worksheet or chart
When promted, select a what directory to save software to, preferably your desktop. After download, select the downloaded file to begin installation. The software will prompt you for the key.
The Wizard is an add-in for MS Office, therefore you now see a new option under the FILE menu. It is not a stand alone .exe program. For more information, view the Online Manual.
Certificates of Authentication:
At some point in this process, depending on your OS, .NET, and Office security settings, you may be asked to trust a certificate from the University of LK4. This is our registered Verisign (certificate which we use to sign our code and installation materials, so as to guarantee that the code you download from us is really from us. You can view the certificate when prompted to verify our information, then safely trust this certificate for hassle-free security on our future .NET code releases.
